Join the United Peninsula Lodge No.24 team on a 2-day adventure to Courtenay & Nanaimo. There will be a number of us traveling to Courtenay on Saturday, September 17th, to both enjoy the 125-year celebrations of Hiram Lodge No.14, and to experience the Grand Master's visit to that Lodge. On Sunday, September 18th, we'll be going to Nanaimo for another Grand Master's event, with a processional through the downtown streets! To coordinate carpools please contact Kip Wilson:

Day 1 (Saturday, September 17th):
Meet at the Mount Newton Lodge Hall at 8:00AM to car pool to Courtenay. Hotel and Banquet ticket arrangements are up to the individual person travelling. Visit the Hiram Lodge web site for details on dinner and accommodation.
Day 2 (Sunday, September 18th):
Leave Courtenay to travel to Nanaimo in order to arrive in time for the ceremony as outlined below:
The Grand Master’s visit to Nanaimo & Cornerstone Ceremony.
This will be a special event to participate in both; a procession in downtown Nanaimo and the ceremonial placing of a plaque.

Meeting Place: Commercial Street Masonic Hall, 101 Commercial St, Nanaimo
Times: 12:00pm Masonic Hall opens for brethren to change and Grand Line Officers to rehearse.
1:00pm The procession assembles in front of the Lodge.
1:30pm The procession begins.
Attire: black (or dark) business suit.

Procession Information:
The procession, in full masonic regalia, will proceed for a few blocks along Commercial St. to St. Paul’s Anglican Church (see photo). Some chairs outside the Church will be provided for elderly brethren and those who need assistance. Both the route and Church are wheelchair accessible. After the ceremony there will be a tour of the premises, a light snack and coffee.
Procession Assembly:
The procession assembles on Commercial Street in front of the Lodge, under the direction of the Grand Director of Ceremonies with the assistance of the Grand Marshal. Apart from the band, magistrates, dignitaries and individual officers, all others will form two columns
